EABA is not a huge line and it's not unreasonable that someone could quickly acquire all the EABA products in print he wanted. Well, what do you buy for your gaming addiction then?

I've found a few products that can make great source material for EABA items and are worth getting for the EABA connoisseur.

First on the menu is a hefty entree called "1001 science fiction weapons". brought to us by plain brown wrapper games.

1001 SF weapons is what it claims to be and delivers what it promises. 1001+ weapons of all types suitable for a variety of SF games ranging from hard SF to space opera. Everything from a derringer to an atomic bomb and beyond can be found here.

There are weapons that can be used in almost any conceivable genre. Some "living weapons" can be used in horror games, some alternative history weapons would wold fine in a steampunk setting, some other weapons could easily be used in fantasy settings.

The artwork is awful and sometimes borrowed from other game lines, the rest was done on a cheap 3d modeller with limited time and effort. But that's Ok, if you want art, go to a museum. If you want a huge list of weapons and ideas for dozens of games, you're in the right place here.

The stats are for te d20 system but fear not. Many of the weapons could easily be modeled in Stuff!. Prime example: The game has 'idiot guns" that are disposable, one use weapons of mass carnage that essentially are just pointed in a general direction, held tightly and fired, releasing a hail of fire that hardly needs to aimed. (Think handheld claymore mine.)

The concept of they idiot gun is that it's a zero skill weapon that can be used effectively by an idiot without any real training. They're cheap, mass produced an handed out to anyone willing to use them for the right cause. Many have pictographic instructions on them showing how to use them so even an illiterate can join in on te fun.

Making them in Stuff is dirt simple: Take a weapon of say 10 millihexes (An idiot gun seems to resemble a 2-3 liter plastic bottle with a shoulder stock and handgrip molded onto it.) and give it the cone attack and one use mods. Season to taste with whatever mods you desire, like stopping power, penetrating power, AP or persistent damage to reflect something like a WP round and serve to your game group.

I can't recommend this prod8ct enough to most game groups and settings that have rules for making your own weapons.

For Verne fans, reading this review of Dark Harvest might give you some ideas for a steampunk/horror game.

Greg wrote two good products for traveller 4, one called "Emperor's Arsenal" and the other called "Central supply catalog" that have a lot of ideas for EABA gear.

Sorta like the "Liberator" from WW2 (and, allegedly, rejigged for IndoChina as well).

Actually, in a couple of SF Books I recall there were similar ideas, intended as one shot assassin weapons.

Pistol like. Made of composite materials and completely sealed. This meant that metal detectors wouldn't find them and chemical explosive detectors wouldn't, either.

Everything was designed for just one use ... normally a single extended burst at an insanely high RoF to mimic the benefits of Auto Burst, which would usually end with the weapon's unreloadable magazine exhausted, either that or the feed mechanism and barrel overheating and the weapon terminally jamming.

Draw, fire at target till ammo is exhausted. Throw away!

Theoretically you could do something like this with a Metalstorm weapon with a cluster of barrels ... sorta like a high tech Pepperbox, either firing single shots, one barrel at a time, or fully discharging all barrels in an imitation of autofire.

The idiot gun came in multiple varieties, but is basically what you said.

Also there was a whole section on disposable weapons, such as pistols, SMGs, AR, shotguns, lasers and even, I think, a particle beam.

Oh yeah, the "Guns! Guns! Guns!" book for corps had a lot of great gun ideas. Plus somewhere there's a conversion guide for EABA 1.

Seriously, I'm not getting a kickback for recommending anything, you ought to check out the 1001 SF weapons PDF. At 13$ its pretty reasonable and the author earned his fee.
