Did anyone else catch the fully restored Metropolis on TCM Sunday? I must admit I was glad they found damn near all the lost footage finally, and that when it was all added together and restored it made the movie a lot more coherent. Sore it's 2.5 hours, but I'd rather spend 2.5-3 hours watching a good or great movie then waste 1.5 hours watching a bad one.

The movie had some scenes now that showed how it influenced bladerunner decades later, and some of them hadn't been seen since 1927 except as stills.

I really recommend catching the full restoration of you can, some of it's core messages are still terribly relevant in today's world and it's amazing to realize this was made in 1927.
