Judge Death OFFLINE Far too talkative Posts: 454	FWIW, I found The Thing prequel to be a disappointment. Too much gore and SFX, not enough plot or suspense. The 1982 version was better even without CGI.

Sande OFFLINE Making a name for themselves Posts: 71	Why bother with plot or suspense (that is, decent writing), when you can toss a bit of cash and CGI at a problem? Evidently most of the competent writers in Hollywood have been rounded up and shot.

Tom B OFFLINE Better than clueless Posts: 117	I haven't seen it yet because it bugs me on several levels. Is it a prequel or a remake? If it's a remake, fine, although one wasn't needed. If it's a prequel, then why did you give it THE EXACT SAME TITLE? Argh.

Judge Death OFFLINE Far too talkative Posts: 454	Tom, it is a prequel, not a remake. It takes place a few days before the 82 movie and ends with the "dog" running away with the loki helicopter in pursuit, taking it right up to the beginning of the 82 movie.
