On rpggeek I just referred someone to the weapon design rules from stuff which greg gives away for free in response to a question he asked.

I suggested he try the stuff weapon rules for what he wanted to do and told him to ask me any questions he had on rpggeek about the rules.

As I posted this I thought it might be nice to have a newbie's forum here for people who are brand new to EABA or are considering getting into it. Such a forum would let newbies or prospective newbies ask questions re the system and settings and get answers possibly from greg himself or at least from some of us EABA grognards.

So, "Newbie's table" or "Just starting out with EABA" as a forum, anyone?

That's a good idea. Let me think about the best way to do it. Remember that there is already an extensive section on the site for EABA and its supplements, including sample downloads of all the titles. Got any concrete suggestions as to what to put in such a topic? Or should it just be a place for new people to ask questions?

The second option. Basically a "I'm totally new to EABA and was wondering how to..."

I had a lot of RPG experience when I got into EABA so it wasn't hard for me. Some people who haven't been at it as long might have a few problems at first.

Also, the EABA powers system was always the hardest part of it, which was understandable given it had t cover a lot and ended up being the largest section in the book. Again that section might raise a lot of question for newbies.

So I recommend a simple "EABA Q&A" (Hmm, I kinda like the way that came out..) for people to ask their questions re the game rules, mechanics and maybe even a "I like (Blank) so what should I get as my first EABA worldbook?"

People could also ask questions re worldbooks, I suppose.

I've added an "EABA Q&A" sub-folder to the EABA v1 folder. That will be the starting point, I suppose.
