I met Greg at MACE (a gaming convention in High Point, NC) and had the pleasure to playtest a card game he is experimenting with. The above title is, I assume, a working title.
I don't know how much info he'd like me to release, if any. So, just a Youtube link: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="www.youtube.com/embed/AuSMowNHFro?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I've already mentioned Rape, Pillage and Burn on the BTRC facebook page, so it's not a secret. I'm probably going to keep the RPB title. After all, I've already done the F*ck This! card game and survived the (non-existent) backlash. I figure the title alone should be worth a hundred sales...

Hey, SPANC also caught my attention back in the day
In the above YouTube video, I recommend time index 3:15 and on Thinking about the taboo against rape as a active theme, I had another taboo come to mind. Slavery, or any sort of eugenics. Unless you can think of exceptions? Slavery, like rape, is historically a very active part of human existance. There is one exception that comes to mind: www.history.com/interactives/expedition-game I RECOMMEND THE ABOVE LINK !!! |

I think slavery and eugenics are acceptable, if they are portrayed extremely negatively and only done by others. So, the PC's can go in and end an evil slavery ring, or superheroes can stop a mad scientist's eugenics experiments.
But as a tactic or mechanic that players use in a game? Highly unlikely, I agree. |
